Surf camp in Morocco with a desert expedition: 10 days, the grand loop

Ten days combining a surf camp in Morocco with a desert expedition, without one costing the other. The base is Mirleft on the Atlantic coast; the finish is two days south of Sidi Ifni, where the coast meets the desert. The format is for people who already surf and want to go further than the camp's own breaks — and would rather not choose between the two.

At the camp you follow the ordinary days: guided surf sessions in small groups — morning or afternoon depending on wind and conditions — full board with Moroccan home cooking and free time between sessions. Yoga, hammam and massage are available as options. In the desert the routine turns into expedition — 4×4 down the coast, surf in daylight, food cooked over the fire and one night in a bivouac under a clear sky. Two ways of living with the same sea, in the same week.

At the camp you stay in a shared or private room; we arrange the transfer from Agadir for a surcharge (€50 return per person). The expedition's two days are spent in a bivouac south of Sidi Ifni, at a rarely surfed reef break the camp has followed for a long time. Eight nights at the camp before departure is ample time to find your level — the reef down south surfs better with a week already in your arms. Waves all year, trips to Legzira, Tiznit and the souk when the schedule allows.
